Cats sleep so peacefully, it is soooo cute.

This cute cat is all curled up and sleeping. If you notice she has her nose covered. The reason cats cover their noses while sleeping is to regulate their body temperature. Cats have a higher average body temperature than humans. They are very sensitive to changes in temperature. By burying their noses while sleeping, they may be regulating their nasal temperature, keeping it warm and comfortable while asleep.
Cats may also cover their noses and eyes while sleeping to reduce external sensory stimulation, so they can sleep peacefully. They will do this when they are feeling safe and secure in the environment in which they are sleeping.
This is a perfectly normal behaviour.
